Guilt

Wednesday, June 1st, 2005

If you think you’re living hell as an employee, imagine what we unemployed spirits have to go through. The guilt is incomparable.

This is how an unemployed individual’s average day go like: 1. Wake up in the morning. 2. See if anyone’s awake already, if no one is, go back to sleep. 3. Have breakfast. 4. Watch TV. 5. Check e-mail. 6. Watch TV - of course no decent show is on TV in the morning, so better go back to sleep (Hmmmm… bed weather!) 7. The moment someone knocks on the door, try to be able to go to sitting straight in a nanosecond, and pretend to either: pray, clean your room, organize your clothes or look for something under the bed. 8. Go out your room and pretend to look for something. 9. Ask your mother if she needs anything. 10. Immediately answer the phone if it rings - at least you become the receptionist for a while. And then the cycle goes on.

My mom asked to me to measure the dining table and set an appointment with the fumigator! Yey! I was 2 errands productive today!

As I said, more than the boredom, the guilt is killing me.
